2016

This Lancet Series examines the progress made in the field of treating sickle-cell disease, and the remaining complications still being addressed. Drawing attention to emerging causes of morbidity as patients with the disease begin to live longer, the series focuses on asthma, acute chest syndrome, and other complications in patients with sickle-cell disease.
