CARE

2024

CARE is an international humanitarian aid organization dedicated to ending global poverty. CARE works in over 100 countries and focuses on initiatives including women’s empowerment, community-based health programs, food security, and early education. CARE responds to global emergencies and disasters—environmental, violent, refugee—with both immediate relief and long-term, comprehensive recovery programs. It also works with Congress as an advocate to inform legislation and policy changes related to poverty and social justice, aiming to address the underlying causes of poverty.

CARE provides a map showing its work locations and a list of emergencies where it responds to disasters and relief programs each year. CARE also produces an annual report detailing progress and impact. Other resources available to users include technical briefs; evaluations and research; policy papers; and other tools. CARE also supports a newsroom with press releases and articles relevant to CARE’s work.
