Oxfam International is a global nonprofit organization focused on ending poverty and improving social justice around the world, specifically working in over 90 countries and reaching tens of millions of people. Oxfam provides grants to and partners with local organizations in the countries and regions where it works to support long-term solutions for communities. It also is an advocate for systems, policies, and practices to remove structural causes of poverty and inequality, as well as in the areas of climate justice, gender equality, food inequity, and more. Oxfam also coordinates humanitarian responses to provide immediate relief during times of conflict and disaster.
Oxfam produces stories about the impact of their work, an annual report, and maintains Oxfam Closeup Magazine, which highlights pressing issues and stories. It also provides fact sheets, briefings, research reports, and other miscellaneous resources. Oxfam also encourages donations, advocacy, and taking action in local communities through events or fundraisers.
