Global Hepatitis Report 2017

2017

This report from the World Health Organization (WHO) examines, for the first time, global and regional estimates on viral hepatitis. Building off the Global Health Sector Strategy for viral hepatitis agreed upon in May 2016, the report sets forth a baseline for implementing these guidelines and tracking their progress. The report focuses on hepatitis B and C, which are responsible for an overwhelming majority of hepatitis-related mortality, and outlines a goal to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.
