World Report on Health Policy and Systems Research
2017
This report from the World Health Organization (WHO) explores the evolution of the field of health policy and systems research, and the increase in focus and funding from stakeholders and organizations worldwide. The first global report to summarize the advances in this field, it examines the past 25 years of health policy and systems research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It analyzes the growth in capacity for these countries to support and fund such research, and how the results of such projects can help advance the Sustainable Development Goals agenda. The report concludes with a call to increase global focus on and funding of health policy and system research, improve networking among researchers in LMICs, and enhance communication between researchers and policy-makers.
