Pulitzer Center Education
2023
Pulitzer Center Education is an education portal, offered by the Pulitzer Center, that provides free online resources that help students think critically about the creation and dissemination of news and support in-depth engagement with underreported global affairs. Users can browse lesson plans, which can be filtered by grade level, subject, issue, and more. Many of the lessons, based on contemporary reporting, are relevant contemporary social determinants of health, such as conflict and water access. Other useful features include:
- Issue Gateways, curated with multiple Pulitzer Center reporting projects that focus on a single topic, like food insecurity or global reproductive health.
- A Lesson Builder to create a lesson based on any Pulitzer Center journalism in a simple, shareable way.
- Free e-books that educators can incorporate into the classroom, such as the interdisciplinary China, The Environment, and Religion or the multimedia-focused To End AIDS.
