Harvard Professional and Lifelong Learning

This online learning platform allows faculty to create open online learning experiences and ultimately enable groundbreaking research in online pedagogies. It is a university-wide initiative that is overseen by the Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning at Harvard University. With a focus on experimentation, iteration, recirculation, and collaboration, Harvard’s collection of online learning opportunities is designed to empower and improve teaching and learning online, on-campus, and beyond. The platform provides faculty with research-based pedagogical support and offers accessible technologies and tools to promote scholarship of teaching.

The platform offers courses on a wide range of subjects, organized by the university’s graduate and professional schools, and courses related to global health and global learning are available throughout. Students and teachers of global health may be particularly interested in offerings from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School, including “The Health Effects of Climate Change,” “Global Health Case Studies from a Biosocial Perspective,” “Global Health Delivery,” and “United States Health Policy.”
