Urban Indian Health Institute

The Urban Indian Health Institute (UIHI) is a division of the Seattle Indian Health Board designed to, “support the health and well-being of urban Indian communities through information, scientific inquiry, and technology.” As one of 12 tribal epidemiology centers supported by the Indian Health Service, UIHI is responsible for both responding to major public health issues within the urban American Indian and Alaska Native community, as well as monitoring health issues, researching major challenges, and managing information systems. UIHI adopts a nationwide focus, and produces numerous informative resources for public consumption, including reports, fact sheets, and presentations
