NIH Fogarty International Center

2024

The Fogarty International Center, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), is dedicated to advancing the NIH’s mission by supporting and facilitating global health research conducted by U.S. and international investigators, building partnerships between health research institutions, and training the next generation of scientists to address global health challenges. Fogarty offers a wealth of global health resources, including information about global health at the NIH; resources and funding opportunities related to specific global health topics; grant opportunities, training resources, and career information for scientists, health workers, and other practitioners; e-learning tools for global health researchers; and specific information about the global health efforts of U.S. government agencies, and nongovernmental agencies. Its Center for Global Health Studies seeks to catalyze research to address global health challenges through multidisciplinary and multisector dialogue, collaboration, and training, and convenes researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to develop actionable recommendations and practical, science-based deliverables such as publications, toolkits, and other training materials.
