Resource Pack: Global Road Safety

2024

This resource pack supports teaching and learning about the global burden of road traffic fatalities and injuries. Road crashes are the leading killer of young people globally, with a disproportionate number of overall fatalities concentrated in low- and middle-income countries.

Resources include global and regional reports, review articles, data portals, fact sheets, and interactives. They address different dimensions of road safety, such as the role of city design in road safety; protection of vulnerable road users, like children; trauma care; specific needs of motorcycle users; and the broader public health context of unintentional injuries.
