The Forum – Drug-Resistant Infections: Confronting an Escalating Crisis

2019

This webcast seminar from The Forum at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health explored the roles of different stakeholders in curtailing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This Forum examined how policy makers can invest in new antibiotic development, while health and agricultural sectors can lead in better antimicrobial stewardship. Experts also discussed the consequences—economic, social, and health—of not acting on AMR. This Forum was presented jointly with NBC News Digital.

The Forum at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is a live webcasting series that provides decision-makers with a global platform to discuss policy choices and scientific controversies across the world. Through collaboration with major media outlets, The Forum facilitates discussion with expert panelists, and aims to bridge the gap between science and policy decision-making for the pressing health issues that affect populations worldwide.
