Indigenous Navigator Data Portal

2024

This data portal from Indigenous Navigator was developed as a response to a global need for quality data in human rights and sustainable development monitoring processes. It represents the first comprehensive framework for monitoring the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The portal's tools, by and for indigenous peoples, are designed to support communities' own generation and understanding of quality data, as well as inform NGOs, human rights organizations, journalists, and policymakers embarking on rights-based programs for sustainable development.

The data portal includes the Indigenous Navigator Index, which ranks countries' performance in recognizing and implementing indigenous peoples' rights; country reports; and tutorials on how to best leverage the tools.
