Workshop Guide: Giving Good Feedback

2023

What does the art of giving good feedback look like? Working with learners new to public and global health requires balancing critique with the understanding that many are at the beginning of their learning journeys. This workshop guide will address best practices and provide participants a chance to practice!

The workshop guide includes an agenda of hands-on exercises that facilitators can adapt to their own training contexts. This workshop guide is accompanied by an instructional video by Sr. Instructional Designer Nina Bhattacharya and Bok Pedagogy Fellow Elizabeth Hentschel. In the video, Bhattacharya and Hentschel walk through a few exercises from the workshop, unpacking both the pitfalls and opportunities of sharing feedback with students.

The Global Health Education and Learning Incubator at Harvard University supports interdisciplinary education about world health through the production, curation, and dissemination of educational public goods.
