Universal Health Coverage Study Series

The World Bank's universal health coverage study series (UNICO) provides knowledge and operational tools to help countries tackle challenges in pursuit of universal health coverage (UHC). Since 2013, UNICO has looked at UHC reform programs in 40 countries, where they cover a combined population of 2.6 billion people. Country case studies and technical papers employ a standardized approach aimed at understanding the tools used by countries to expand health coverage across three dimensions: population, health services, and affordability.
