Health and Human Rights Resource Guide

2018

This web-based portal provides a resource guide from the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights and is designed for advocates and practitioners interested in applying a human-rights-based approach to health issues. It is organized into 11 sections: an introduction provides a primer on the human right to health, then 10 topic chapters focus on specific health issues (patient care, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, harm reduction, palliative care, disability, access to medicines) or vulnerable populations (children, minorities, LGBTI). Within each chapter, tables organize examples of human rights violations related to that topic; an overview of relevant international and regional human rights standards and instruments; and articles, interpretation, and case law examples. Resources and key terms are also provided.
