This Lancet Commission report outlines both current risks and unrealized opportunities not only for the health and well-being of adolescents but also for the future of society and future generations. Adolescents and young adults face unprecedented social, economic, and cultural change. The most powerful actions for adolescent health and wellbeing are intersectoral, multilevel and multicomponent, and engage and empower young people themselves to be part of the change and accountability mechanisms. This report outlines the opportunities and challenges for investment at both country and global levels.
