These fact sheets from the World Health Organization (WHO) provide information on the impact on health of several key public health, environmental, and social determinants of health. The fact sheets describe the burden of related diseases where applicable, and the current response from WHO’s Department of Public Health, Environmental and Social Determinants of Health (PHE). By focusing on the reduction of environmental and social factors, about a quarter of the global burden of disease can be prevented.
