Teaching Pack: Climate and Health for Higher Ed

2024

Climate change is one of the most pressing global risks this generation of learners will face in their lifetimes, and one with critical implications for health and development. The current moment offers a wealth of opportunities for college and graduate educators to integrate real-world events, salient to their students everyday lives, into existing or new courses. This collection brings together timely, high-quality material that explores global and local patterns of climate change, the intersections of climate and health, social determinants of health, and health sector and non-health sector responses.

Each tile within this collection brings together a key resource on the topic—such as a data visualization, interactive, organizational hub, resource portal, or lesson—that can be leveraged in online, physical, or hybrid learning environments. This teaching pack is part of a Climate and Health Teaching Toolkit under development by the Global Health Education and Learning Incubator at Harvard University. New resources will be added as they become available.

The Global Health Education and Learning Incubator at Harvard University supports interdisciplinary education about world health through the production, curation, and dissemination of educational public goods.
