Resource Pack: Core Global Health Data

2024

This resource pack includes a core set of open access, high-quality data resources relevant to the health and wellbeing of the world’s populations. These data resources incorporate multiple formats such as data interactives, data tables, country-specific summaries, data graphics, and simulations.

Data on health indicators and population summary measures reflecting diseases, injuries, and risk factors are included, in addition to metrics on population dynamics and demographics, social determinants of health, health system performance, and universal health coverage. The portal also comprises economic and human development statistics, like the Sustainable Development Goals, which reflect broad indicators of progress across multisectoral societal challenges critically relevant to health.

Data sources reflect high-quality standards of documentation and provide the ability to examine trends, as well as current population health status. Educators may find these data useful for curricula development, case development, and learning activities. Students may find these useful for research projects and assignments.

Explore the GHELI Repository to find additional resources, both general resources (e.g., reports, articles, country profiles, etc.), teaching resources (e.g., portals, cases, lessons, etc.), and collections (e.g., resource and teaching packs).
