The Climate Explorer: U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit

2021

This data interactive, which accompanies the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit, provides graphs, maps, and data exploring various climate conditions in the U.S from 1950 to 2013. The interactive also projects potential changes in the U.S. climate over the next several decades. The tool allows users to explore historical and estimated climate conditions, including flooding, temperature variables, and precipitation for county and county equivalents throughout all 50 states and U.S. territories. Further, the interactive climate graph incorporates two potential scenarios: one where global emissions of greenhouse gases are lowered and one where emissions continue to increase. The interactive aims to model future scenarios as climate change continues to spur extreme conditions that put communities worldwide at risk.
