The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is a leading international development agency focused on advancing U.S. national security and leading global development and humanitarian efforts. Founded in 1961, USAID provides foreign assistance and disaster relief in over 100 countries worldwide, with the primary aims of strengthening democratic governance, reducing poverty, and improving livelihoods of communities across the globe to promote human progress and stable societies.

USAID leads global efforts across numerous sectors, including agriculture and food security, conflict prevention and stabilization, democracy and human rights, education, gender equality, global health, humanitarian assistance, nutrition, water and sanitation, and more. USAID produces a robust data portal complete with featured reports and publications, USAID investment data, and data resources. Additional key resources include a news and information portal, which includes fact sheets, press releases, videos, and other communications materials pertinent to USAID’s mission and projects.
