Resource Pack: Sexual and Reproductive Health

This resource pack, curated by the Global Health Education and Learning Incubator, examines critical aspects of sexual and reproductive health around the world, including access to health services, contraceptives, the health of LBGTQ+ individuals, and access to abortion. The collection of resources highlights many areas where sexual and reproductive health has improved over time, such as the growing acceptance of homosexuality around the world and the increasing number of women with access to contraceptives. The materials also display areas where further work is needed, such as broadening access to abortion, ensuring contraceptive access during pandemics and other crises, as well as reducing disparities in maternal mortality and supporting gender affirming care for transgender people.

The resources in this collection were selected for their diversity, quality, and timeliness. We specifically curated publications, data portals, interactives, country cases, and teaching materials that allow users to begin exploring the many topics surrounding sexual and reproductive health in the United States and around the world. The variety of resource types are well-suited for integration into the classroom, hybrid, or online learning environments. Most of these resources are accessible for free and are updated regularly. 

These resources may be useful to educators as they develop lesson plans, activities, or assignments focusing on sexual and reproductive health around the world. Learners could apply analytical skill through the exploration of data portals and interactives, use articles and country cases as examples for discussion, or focus on specific issues related to sexual and reproductive health in their own communities.
