Global Road Safety: Country Profiles

These country profiles offered by the World Health Organization (WHO) accompany The Global Status Report on Road Safety 2023. This report provides an overview of progress made toward road safety globally, highlighting both progress and challenges. The 2023 report presents the first complete set of findings from the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020, assessing the burden of road traffic deaths worldwide and the actions needed to address gaps. The report finds that in 2021, road traffic deaths fell to 1.19 million, compared to 1.25 million deaths in 2010.

The country profiles include information on the burden of road fatalities, safe road infrastructure, safe vehicles, and road user behavior.
