Progress of World's Women: Fact Sheets

These fact sheets accompany the UN-Women’s flagship report, Families in a Changing World: Progress of the World’s Women 2019-2020, which features global, regional, and national data on the status of women around the world, particularly within families, considering current economic, demographic, political, and social transformation. The regional fact sheets explore gender equality in many domains and include information on family diversity, marriage and divorce trends, fertility, family laws, protections for same-sex partnerships, violence against women and girls, women’s labor force participation, the balance of unpaid care work, migration, and family-friendly policies. The global fact sheet facilitates a comparison of regional data with the global situation, and a topical fact sheet on the cost of financing a package of family-friendly policies to support gender equality and women’s empowerment is also available.
