Measuring the Age-Friendliness of Cities

2015

This report by the World Health Organization examines “age-friendly city” initiatives, providing guidance for using and identifying core indicators, including equity, resources and structural inputs, interventions and outputs, outcomes, and impacts. With rising trends in ageing and urbanization, this publication aims to establish a framework for these indicators and a strategy for their measurement and monitoring. In addition, it provides a number of supplementary indicators and an annex of five case examples of their adaptability for a variety of circumstances.
