SDG Data Alliance

2024

This data portal, hosted by the United Nations Statistics Division, enables the exploration, analysis, and use of authoritative data sources related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were established as part of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda to address global challenges through economic, social, and environmental progress. It is designed to support data-driven decision-making and promote a greater understanding of the patterns and interrelationships in the huge volume of SDG data and statistics that are now available.

The portal includes spatially referenced global data organized by each of the 17 SDGs, suitable for producing maps and other visualizations and analyses; provides links to country-specific open data sites; and connects users to compelling data stories and other publications. The portal also offers education resources, including tutorials, courses, and toolkits to aid various users in understanding and using SDG data. An SDG application programming interface, or API, provides programmatic access to the U.N.’s global indicators database, which includes country-level data and regional and global aggregates on the SDGs.
