2024

The RAND Corporation is a nonprofit research organization that conducts policy research and analysis to inform public policy challenges. RAND uses this research to develop solutions for clients in the public and private sectors. RAND conducts its own research across almost 100 different projects, programs, and centers, and shares its research in freely available digital publications for the public. RAND aims to guide policy decisions based on the best available information, strongest data and methods, and rigorous research projects for creating healthier, more secure communities around the world. The RAND Corporation also hosts the Pardee RAND School in California, a graduate school that offers a public policy Ph.D. program connected to the research and analysis of the Corporation.

RAND conducts research projects in several key areas such as Children, Families, and Communities, National Security and Terrorism, International Affairs, Energy and the Environment, as well as more specific trending topic areas as they arise. RAND also conducts research programs in four federal funded centers: the RAND Army Research Division, RAND Project Air Force, RAND National Security Research Division, and the Homeland Security Operational Analysis Center. The RAND Corporation produces an Annual Report highlighting achievements and implications of their research from the previous year. RAND also regularly publishes peer-reviewed reports on analysis work, publishes The RAND Blog on updated commentary and insight from policy experts, and curates multimedia resources including videos and a podcast series that detail their key findings, recommendations, and discussions of pressing issues.
