This data portal, maintained by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), provides current data and statistics for 30 health conditions and topics. Within each topic page, users can access relevant resources, such as interactive state and county maps that show regional trends, recent reports and briefing documents, databases and data visualization tools, monitoring tools, and more. Numerous links to related resources, government departments, and organizations are also provided.
As the nation’s health protection agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are charged with protecting America from health, safety, and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. The CDC conducts critical science research, provides health information that protects against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise. In addition to these data and statistics, the CDC also provides guidelines and data on vaccines and immunizations, travel information, and teaching resources.
