The Global Gender Gap Report 2023: Country Profiles

2023

These country profiles from the World Economic Forum display the measure of gender disparity in each of the 146 tracked countries, with a specific focus on the relative gaps between women and men across four key dimensions: economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival, and political empowerment. Each profile presents a ranking and score for each country's progress toward gender parity, represented on a 0-to-1 scale, with a score of 1 indicating full parity. This year's Global Gender Gap Report indicates that it will take 131 years to close the global gender gap. While gaps in educational attainment and health and survival are nearly closed, progress on gaps in economic participation and opportunity and political empowerment continues to lag worldwide.

The report also examines the state of gender gaps in the workforce, providing data and figures for gender gaps in labor force participation, representation across industries, leadership, political representation, and more. The report is accompanied by a summary of key findings, a digital version of the report, and shareable infographics.
