Climate Is Health

2020

This five-part series explores connections between climate change and public health, focusing in particular on COVID-19, community health and resilience, inequities, and activism. Produced by the Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment (Harvard C-CHANGE) in collaboration with Putney Pre-College, the series is grounded in short videos with leaders in the fields of climate change and public health:

Though aimed at high school audiences, the material can be adapted for both younger and older age groups. Especially designed for remote learning, each video is accompanied by supplemental resources such as timely news articles, discussion questions, writing prompts, and case studies from diverse global contexts.

The resources as downloadable as PDFs, and the suggested activities are modular enough to adapt to a single class period or multiple class periods. For classes grounded in project-based learning, each session includes suggestions for students to take action in their own communities.
