Lancet Commission 2021: Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health in China

2021

This Lancet report review 70 years of progress on women’s reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) in China. Beyond reviewing progress, the Commission examines emerging challenges to RMNCAH in the country in light of population aging and low fertility. The report emphasizes a four-pronged approach to meet RMNCAH-related targets for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Healthy China 2030 in an equitable and accessible way: financing, workforce development, medicine and technology, and information technology systems. The report is accompanied by a podcast, a video, and related editorials.
