Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability

2022

This report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) presents the most up-to-date global climate findings, updating global knowledge on climate change, examining global impacts and the resulting risks, as well as the possible responses the international community should consider. Representing contributions of more than 700 climate experts from 90 countries, the report underscores how humans have unequivocally caused biodiversity loss, overall unsustainable consumption of natural resources, land and ecosystem degradation, rapid urbanisation, demographic shifts, social and economic inequalities, and a pandemic. The authors recognize the interdependence of climate, ecosystems, biodiversity, and human societies. The IPCC delves further into the potential future of climate change, risk assessment, regional impacts, and possible steps to limit future environmental degradation.
