Lancet Commission 2022: The Path to Healthy Ageing in China

2022

This Lancet Commission report examines aging in China, detailing how to best promote health and wellbeing as people age– and as global populations continue aging more rapidly than in the past. With China hosting the largest population of older people worldwide, the Commission aims to present China as a case example for healthy aging and how to promote policies that support health and wellbeing at older ages. The report discusses policy challenges and recommendations in the face of a rapidly aging population, with the goal of reducing potential economic and social burdens in the future.

The report is accompanied by a video of key messages and editorial and commentary articles.
