These data publications, published by the Population Division of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), provide access to global datasets of demographic indicators produced by the United Nations Population Division, including data to assess population trends at the global, regional, and national levels. They also include other key indicators for monitoring progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
World Population Prospects: The 2022 Revision is accompanied by a briefing of 10 key messages, a summary of results, a portal to explore graphs and country profiles, and a robust data portal that allows users to view life expectancy and fertility trends over time and generate country-specific and regional demographic profiles and projections.
Users can download a series of Excel files containing key demographic indicators for selected periods or dates within 1950-2100, which can be explored by the UN development group, World Bank income group, geographic region, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) region, subregion, and country or area.
