Urban Child Poverty, Health, and Survival

This report from the Demographic and Health Surveys Program examines children under 5 living in large cities in low- and middle- income countries. Exploring the effects urban areas have on children in these countries, the report discusses poverty, health services, and nutrition. Among the report’s conclusions, it states that despite the significant health advantages found in urban areas, there is still significant work to be done in reducing poverty among children in large cities.
