ProCon.org is a nonpartisan news source that provides resources and commentary on the pros and cons of timely and relevant political issues. ProCon promotes the sharing and debating of controversial issues to improve education and increase understanding of different perspectives. Issues covered range from the right to health care and abortion, to universal basic income and climate change.
ProCon caters directly to the needs of educators, librarians, and administrators by helping them create lesson plans and find issues to debate or write argumentative essays about. Furthermore, the site provides a video series exploring current issues through critical thinking. Access is also provided to testimonials, which may help the user gain an understanding of how ProCon can be in the classroom setting.
