Achieving Behavioral Health Equity for Children, Families, and Communities

This report from the National Academies Press (NAP) summarizes the proceedings of a workshop on behavioral health equity. The workshop was focused on the health equity of children and families, especially concerning chronic conditions and the different challenges faced by rural and urban families. Attention was paid to poverty, racism, low-resourced communities, and limited access to educational and health resources. Workshop participants also highlighted promising initiatives and programs aimed at improving the social determinants of health and access to quality of services for all children and families.
