2022 Global Analysis and Assessment of Sanitation and Drinking-Water (GLAAS) Report

This report from UN-Water and the World Health Organization (WHO) analyzes the progress of drinking-water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in 121 countries and territories worldwide. The 2022 report compiles the latest available WASH data to inform actions toward achieving the global targets in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The report examines progress across several key WASH areas, including WASH and health, resilience to climate change, funding for WASH services, accessibility and local participation, WASH services for women and girls, and more. The report also highlights opportunities to accelerate progress in areas that would improve the quality and sustainability of WASH services and pandemic preparedness.

The report is accompanied by a downloadable infographic and the GLAAS data portal, which offers global data on WASH systems and data visualizations.
