This data portal from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contains a set of interactive maps summarizing the CDC’s investments in various areas of antibiotic resistance prevention, including state and local health departments, university and health care partners, the antibiotic resistance laboratory network, and the CDC’s international projects. The maps provide a breakdown of the financial investments made in each state or region, ranging from funding state health departments to providing grants to research institutions. Each interactive map can also be filtered to show specific investment categories, such as the amount of money given to regional antibiotic resistance laboratory networks. The portal contains an additional fact sheet that outlines how the efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19 in the United States can also prevent antibiotic resistance.
