25 Years of Children and Armed Conflict: Taking Action to Protect Children in War

This report published by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) presents the impacts of armed conflict on children worldwide and documents the grave violations committed against children over time. The report presents steps the global community has taken to protect children in situations of armed conflict and illustrates how engagement with state and non-state actors can better protect children.

The report includes country-specific examples of policy measures enacted to prevent violations against children and urges collaborative efforts toward supporting children and families in war. The report concludes with key recommendations for the international community to bolster the programmatic response to the severe threats children face in situations of armed conflict.
