The report includes a special focus on gender and WASH, highlighting the impacts of drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene on women and girls worldwide, and how gender inequalities impact progress toward realizing global SDG targets for WASH.
The report details global progress across drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene services and provides regional data and visualizations for each area. The report also includes a section on menstrual health, providing data on menstruation awareness, use of materials, and access to adequate WASH services during menstruation for people worldwide.
The report is accompanied by downloadable datasets, which include household WASH data by region and country.
